Taksar Pikhwa Khola Hydropower Ltd. has announced the issuance of its Initial Public Offering (IPO) to the general public. The company is set to issue 35.26 percent of its issued capital of NPR 1.20 billion, amounting to NPR 423,066,800, through the public offering.
The company will issue a total of 4,230,668 ordinary shares at a par value of NPR 100 per share.
Out of the total shares to be issued, 10 percent of the issued capital, equivalent to NPR 120 million (1.2 million shares), has been allocated to the residents of the project-affected areas. These shares are specifically targeted at the permanent residents of Bhojpur District.
Similarly, 10 percent of the shares allocated for public issuance, totaling 430,667 shares, have been reserved for Nepali citizens working abroad who have obtained labor approval from the concerned government authority.
In addition, 5 percent (215,033 shares) has been set aside for mutual investment fund schemes, and 2 percent (86,613 shares) has been reserved for the company’s employees.
After these allocations, the remaining 2,515,455 ordinary shares will be offered to the general public. The company has stated that detailed information regarding the IPO process will be published soon.
The proceeds collected from the IPO will be utilized for project expansion and financial management purposes.
Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower Ltd. aims to alleviate Nepal's energy crisis through private investment in hydropower, with experienced industry professionals as promoters.
